Leslie Cunningham Area of Study: Dramaturgy/Criticism and Digital Cinema (BFA)

I chose to attend The Theatre School at DePaul University because… Chicago is an amazing city, especially for theatre, and The Theatre School seemed just quirky enough for me!

I chose my major because… it combines everything I love into one and I’ll get a degree for it!

A faculty or staff member that has greatly influenced me is… I know this is bound to sound cliché, but I have learned so much from every teacher I have had here. Each teacher knows so much about their craft and another great thing is that many of them are still working professionals out in the theatre community.

Something that surprised me about my experience or curriculum here is… how small and focused classes are and how willing everyone is to help you.

One thing that I’d like to say to students considering attending The Theatre School, or my peers in the industry, is…… it is a lot of hard work but it is well worth it.

My future goals include… hopefully working on theatre in London or doing something that would combine my theatre and film degrees.
