I chose to attend The Theatre School at DePaul University because… first and foremost the audition was extremely fun and welcoming. Here at DePaul the teachers want to see you succeed at every turn, even in the audition for the program. They made me feel at home and I was never let down. Classes are intense and challenging, which makes every class a new and exciting experience.

I chose my major because… I have been acting since I was six years old and I could never be a mathematician. Number's scare me, words are cool.

A faculty or staff member that has greatly influenced me is… Phylis Griffin, my second year Voice and Speech teacher, because she allows me to encounter parts of my acting that I never knew I had by opening my mind and body to the numerous possibilities that can happen within any moment.

Something that surprised me about my experience or curriculum here is… the amount of maturity I've gained by being in this program. I've had to change a lot of habits and become more responsible, especially with time management, because we have very little of that.

One thing that I’d like to say to students considering attending The Theatre School, or my peers in the industry, is…… to students considering coming to DePaul GO FOR IT! Have a blast at the audition and be ready for hard work. To my peers in the industry, get ready to work with Rashaad Hall.

My future goals include… acting on stage here in Chicago, movies and television, owning a record label, and writing, directing and producing my own original pieces.
