Driving Directions:  

From the North and Northwest:

From the Kennedy Expressway (I90/I94) exit at Fullerton Avenue and turn left (East). DePaul’s Lincoln Park campus is approximately two miles from the expressway. Turn right at Kenmore Avenue and travel south on Kenmore approximately 2 ½ blocks (past Belden and Webster). The Theatre School Building is about 1/2 block past Webster on your left.

From the west:

From the Eisenhower Expressway (I290), turn onto the Kennedy Expressway (I90/I94) heading toward Wisconsin. From the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/I-94) exit at Fullerton Avenue and turn right (East). DePaul’s Lincoln Park campus is approximately two miles from the expressway. Turn right at Kenmore Avenue and travel south on Kenmore approximately 2 ½ blocks (past Belden and Webster). The Theatre School Building is about 1/2 block past Webster on your left.

From the south:

From the Dan Ryan Expressway (I90/I94) continue as the expressway becomes the Kennedy Expressway (I90/I94). Exit at Fullerton Avenue and turn right (East). DePaul’s Lincoln Park campus is approximately two miles from the expressway. Turn right at Kenmore Avenue and travel south on Kenmore approximately 2 ½ blocks (past Belden and Webster). The Theatre School Building is about 1/2 block past Webster on your left.

From Lake Shore Drive (North or South):

Exit Lake Shore Drive at Fullerton Avenue. Head west for approximately three miles. Turn left at Kenmore Avenue (one block past Sheffield) and travel south on Kenmore approximately 2 ½ blocks (past Belden and Webster). The Theatre School Building is about 1/2 block past Webster on your left.

Parking:

Though street parking is often possible, it is recommended that visitors to The Theatre School park in the Sheffield parking facility, 2335 N. Sheffield Avenue, or the Clifton Parking Deck, 2330 N. Clifton Avenue. The DePaul rates are $8 before 4 p.m., $6 on weekends, and after 4 p.m.  Anyone not using a DePaul ID or voucher/validation stamp will be charged $12.

via CTA Red, Brown and Purple lines: Exit at Fullerton, walk west on Fullerton to Kenmore Avenue (one street past the light at Sheffield), then turn left and walk south on Kenmore, past Belden and Webster. The Theatre School is shortly after Webster, on your left.

Turn right on Wabash Avenue and travel south to Balbo Drive, then turn left on Balbo Drive. The theatre will be on your left – look for the electronic marquee!

From the West:
From the Eisenhower Expressway (I290), continue toward downtown. As you approach the downtown area, the expressway becomes Congress Parkway. Turn right on Wabash Avenue and travel south to Balbo Drive, then turn left on Balbo Drive. The theatre will be on your left – look for the electronic marquee!

From the South: From the Dan Ryan Expressway (I90/I94) exit at Jackson Boulevard and turn right (East). DePaul’s Loop campus is approximately one mile from the expressway. From Lake Shore Drive (North or South):
Exit Lake Shore Drive at Balbo Drive and turn west toward downtown. Proceed two blocks and then cross Michigan Avenue. The theatre will be on your right — look for the electronic marquee!

Parking:

System Parking. 645 South Wabash, located directly beside the theatre on the North East corner of Balbo and Wabash. $14 during the day and $8 after 4pm.

CPS Parking. 651 South State Street, 2.5 blocks from the theatre. $12 all the time.

People's Auto Parking. 9 East Balbo Drive, 2.5 blocks from the theatre, and 722 S. Wabash Avenue, 1.5 blocks from the theatre, across from Buddy Guy's Legends.

Essex Inn Parking. 800 South Michigan, located on the South West corner of Michigan and 8th Street. 2.5 blocks from the theatre. $10-$30 depending on amount of time car is parked in the garage.

Hilton Chicago and Towers. 720 South Michigan, located directly across the street from the theatre. Rates vary from $14-$30 depending on amount of time car is parked in the garage.

via CTA Red Line: Exit at Jackson or Harrison, walk south on State Street to Balbo Drive, then turn left and walk east on Balbo. You will see the theatre ahead of you, across Wabash Avenue on your left – look for the electronic marquee!

via CTA Brown, Orange, Green, Pink and Purple lines: Exit at Adams/Wabash, walk south to Balbo Drive, then turn left and walk east on Balbo. You will see the theatre just ahead of you on the left – look for the electronic marquee!

via CTA Blue Line: Exit at Dearborn/Monroe. Walk south to Harrison Street, and turn left to Wabash Avenue. Walk south to Balbo Drive, then turn left and walk east on Balbo. You will see the theatre just ahead of you on the left – look for the electronic marquee!

The theatre is also close to stops on numerous bus lines, including the #29-State, #3-King Drive and #146-Michigan/Museums.
