Jamila hails from Auburn, AL, and received her BA in English in 2006 from the historic HBCU Tuskegee University in Tuskegee. Some of her favorite Theatre School credits include Tamyra in A Man from Nebraska; Mrs. Meyer Spinning into Butter; the Spiderwoman in A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings, directed by Carlos Murillo; Kosi in Kosi-Dasa, directed by Shepsu Aakhu; Eunice in A Street Car Named Desire, directed by Damon Kiely; and Ruth Rae in Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said, directed by Anthony Moseley.
