The Theatre School ST*RS ("Support Tomorrow's Rising Stars") was founded in 1998 by graduating students of The Theatre School. An officially recognized DePaul student organization, ST*RS' purpose is to raise money for graduating seniors from all programs of study in order to cover costs of Graduate Showcase activities; to aid them in traveling to the Graduate Showcase events in New York and Los Angeles; to build and maintain a sense of community among The Theatre School and DePaul University students; and to continue the inspirational traditions of senior leadership. Membership is open to The Theatre School's graduating class. ST*RS organizes various fundraising activities throughout the year and annually raises between $8,000 – 10,000. Members must maintain good standing in the organization in order to share in the funds raised.
