During the final weeks of Spring Quarter, Theatre School playwrights produce a festival featuring their work: Wrights of Spring. These showings range from rehearsed and supported staged readings to unrehearsed table readings.
The goal of Wrights of Spring is to afford our playwrights the opportunity to develop their work through collaboration with actors and directors and to test that work in front of an audience. The festival annually includes readings of more than 20 new works by more than a dozen playwrights. These readings are produced through the efforts of more than 100 members of The Theatre School community.
All performances take place at The Theatre School Building, 2135 N. Kenmore Avenue, and are free of charge and open to the public.
