SUMMARY
On a moonlit night in the California desert, shortly after the Gulf War, Gabriela longs for the return of her husband Benito. In this meditation of the impossible, a cat and coyote tango while the moon serenades the desert with a violin. Filled with moonstruck poetry and magical realism, Rivera’s lyrical text celebrates the confusion that can grow out of love and the way in which nature reflects human relationships.

New Directors Series productions are directed in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the Master of Fine Arts degree in Directing.

The cast features Edgar Sanchez (Benito), Tim Frank (Coyote), Austin Talley (Moon), Jason Karasev (Martin), Christina Nieves (Gabriela), Mary Williamson (Cat)
